Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (Education and Culture Exchange)

The Education and Culture Exchange (ECE) is a unit of the Japanese and Culture Department of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC). This unit was established with the goal of promoting and strengthening the bilateral relationship between Cambodia and Japan through cultural and educational activities. Notably, this unit hosts a number of yearly events that are regarded as a success in advancing cultures and expanding educational opportunities for both Japan and Cambodia. 

  • Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Festival: yearly celebration in February to strengthen the relations between Cambodia and Japan by balancing various activities of traditional-modern culture and educational activities.
  • Tanabata Festival: a traditional Japanese event celebrated every year on July 7th to commemorate the upcoming meeting of two-star lovers. 
  • Study-in-Japan Fair: typically held in October or November as an annual program that provides information and opportunities for studying in Japan to Cambodian students.

Apart from the aforementioned yearly events, ECE also hosts seasonal events and provides customized services to custormers and partner universities/institutions. Website services, Hybrid Educational Customized Services, Culture services, and more are included in such services.

Check out the highlighted video of the Opening Ceremony of the Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Festival 2025! The opening ceremony was held on Thursday, February 13 at Angkor-Kizuna Hall of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) with more than 215 people attending this opening ceremony, including VIP guests, businessmen, foreigners, reporters, etc. It was significant for celebrating the festival and marked a record for another year of positive relations between Cambodia and Japan, in regard to the combination of Cambodian and Japanese culture, both modern and traditional.

Toyama Homestay Program

In collaboration with the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center, the Toyama-Cambodia Friendship Association organizes the Toyama Homestay Program, which enables Cambodian students who speak Japanese to gain more about Japanese culture and develop their skills by staying with a Japanese family.

A1. CJCC frequently hosts exchange programs that emphasize both cultural and educational activities. The majority of students who participate in our exchange programs are from Cambodia and Japan. 

Q2. Do you offer exchange program to Japan?

A2. We offer Toyama Homestay Program to Cambodia student. It is 100% scholarship program that a successful candidate will get to experience homestay in Japan for 10 days.
