Cheer Up! Because life doesn’t mean to be easy.
Hi! I am Leakhena. Currently, I am studying an MBA program in Japan, majoring in management. I have always been passionate about learning new things to gain new knowledge and valuable experiences that will help me achieve my career goals in the future. Here at the IMC program, I have been learning various courses that are relevant to my major, especially in preparation for the individual research (IR) that I am going to conduct in my second year. Along with that, I have gained a diverse and insightful understanding of business in the digital era in relation to sustainable development goals (SDGs), which exceeds my expectations.
Why Japan?
I have a chance to work for the Cambodia-Japan Corporation Center (CJCC), where I am inspired by the Japanese business culture, successful business models, innovation, and modern technology. Indeed, I believe that studying in Japan will equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to sustainable development in Cambodia. Fortunately, in 2022, I was selected to pursue my studies in Japan under a JICA scholarship program called Investment and Promotion for Industrial Development in Asian Region.
Last but not least, just a kind reminder for those who have an interest in studying in Japan but do not have the chance yet: Don't give up your dream. You have the right to dream and hope. You may have failed many times already but remember that: Failure is part of the road to Success.
