As the first Japanese university establishing a branch campus in Malaysia, we provide a Japanese-type education with its traditions and contemporary practices through a cross-disciplinary curriculum based on Problem-Based Learning reflecting the academic standards and requirements of the home-campus while embracing the uniqueness of its position as a Japanese/Malaysian initiative.

On September 1, 2024, the University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (UTMy) opened in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. This is the first case that Japanese university launched its overseas branch campus awarding Japanese degrees.
